After playing four games in the cities of Matsuyama, Hiroshima and Utsunomiya, the Collegiate National Team of Japan and USA with the series knotted at two games apiece, Japan won the decisive game 7-3 at Meiji Jingu Stadium in Tokyo (photo) on July 11 bringing the longest-running series 22 wins for USA and 17 for Japan.

The Collegiate National Team programs of USA Baseball and the Cuban Baseball Federation will compete for the second consecutive year in an international friendship series. The five-game series is officially sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation.

Cuba has won the 2013 World Port Tournament in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The record world champion claimed the title at the international tournament, which is officially sanctioned by IBAF, with a 4-0 shutout over the Dutch national team on Sunday.
