The preliminary phase at the XXVI Pan-American 12U Baseball Championship in Barranquilla, Colombia ended on Tuesday with the Dominican Republic and Colombia concluding the first round with victories. Panama remained at the top of the standings with a perfect 4-0 record, followed by Colombia (3-1), Brazil (2-2), the Dominican Republic (1-3) and Peru (0-4).

The fourth day of the competition at the XXVI Pan-American 12U Baseball Championship in Barranquilla, Colombia featured a pair of shutouts for the undefeated Panama and Brazil. Host Colombia had an off day.
Argentina wins XI South American Championship in Ecuador
Argentina has won the XI South American Championship, which was held in Guayaquil, Ecuador in October. It is their second straight title. In the finals they defeated host Ecuador in a ten-inning thriller as Sebastian Garcia scored the winning run of an 8-7 victory. Peru, Chile and Bolivia also participated in the tournament, which was televised in South America.

The XXVI Pan-American 12U Baseball Championship in Barranquilla, Colombia continued on Sunday with day three of the competition. Brazil stunned the Dominican Republic to pick up its first win of the tournament, while Panama won the duel of undefeated teams against host Colombia.
