America vibrates with the U15 qualifier in Venezuela

Venezuela will host the VI Panamerican U15 Championship, on this occasion the event will serve as a qualifier for the V World Cup to be held at Hermosillo, México from the 26th of august until September 4th of 2022.

(Prensa WBSC-AMÉRICAS).- America will vibrate next week with the baseball qualifier from the 3rd until the 12th of june, six nations will define the teams that will assist the U15 World Cup and the medals positions.

Since 2013, the tournament for this category has been played, on that occasion it was in Barranquilla, Colombia and the United States beat Cuba in the finals. In 2015, in Aguascalientes, Mexico was host of the event and the US repeated the title now versus Colombia. In 2017 the event returned to Barranquilla, Colombia and for the third time the United States came away with first place, an event in which the Dominican Republic also earned the top spot. Most recently in 2019 in Playas del Carmen, Mexico it was the United States for the fourth time winning the event, now versus Panama.

Six nations will be looking to crown a new champion this time around, Venezuela (6th in the world) will host and have the best ranking, they will look to win at home before their crowd, looking to advance to a World Cup in which they have had great results as champions in 2012 and bronze in 2014.

Dominican Republic (7th) was champion in 2017 the only nation other than the United States to be crowned at this event, they will look for their second championship.

Cuba (9th) managed to win silver in 2013 and bronze in 2017, they will be looking for their first title.

Colombia (11th) reached the finals in 2015 and Panama (13th) reached bronze in 2013 and reached the finals in 2019, both countries will look to take the decisive step on this occasion.

Finally, Puerto Rico (16th) will look to return to being the protagonist in this event and reach the podium for the first time in their history.

San Diego and Valencia are the cities the tournament will be played in and will receive the six nations that will define five tickets to the World Cup, four semi finalists will try to win one of the three medals, only two will be in the finals and only one will remain standing and be crowned champion.
