Caribbean Baseball Cup in the Bahamas, another important step for COCABE

(Press Release).- The 4th Caribbean Baseball Cup, scheduled for Nassau, Bahamas, from December 4 to 11, constitutes a vital space in order to guarantee the development of this sports in the area.

Although it is true that currently hundreds of players born in the Caribbean region dominate the different levels of organization in the MLB, the Caribbean Cup emerged as a necessity to keep the competitive touch of the teams in the zone.

Since its first version in 2018, Mr. George de Lira, president of COCABE, has worked for the sustenance of a tournament, which serves to promote new baseball players to the top and, in turn, contributes to having more events among the Caribbean teams. .

Host status has been key in previous editions, as the Dominican Republic won at home in 2018 and 2019, as did Curaçao last year, which lifted the crown in its own ground. Puerto Rico will make its debut in this 4th Cup, looking to get a ticket to the Central American and Caribbean games.
