(Press Reléase - WBSC AMERICAS BASEBALL).- The Puerto Rican women's baseball team will travel to Cuba next Friday, May 12, with the aim of holding a friendly series with the Cuban team.
Carlos Ferrer, manager of the Puerto Ricans will take a total of 23 players, divided into 2 catchers, 9 infielders, 4 outfielders and 8 pitchers.
The cap is scheduled from May 14 to 21 with a daily game of seven innings, where the coaches of both teams will move their pieces in order to evaluate the preparation, towards the first stage of the 2023 Women World Cup.
Puerto Rico and Cuba got their championships ticket in the tournament held last year in Venezuela, and now they appear in Group B of the world competition, to be played in Japan, from September 13 to 17.
