Twelve teams inaugurated the U15 Pan American Championship in a great way

(Press Release; WBSC AMERICAS BASEBALL).- Since the tournament started in, Boca Chica in the Dominican Republic this Saturday it has been a party in which twelve national teams are seeking five places in the U15 World Cup.

The Pan American tournament started with the twelve countries in play, for a week they will battle for a spot in the World Cup and the championship.

In the morning, four matches were held, the Venezuelan team had a resounding victory 10 to 0 by knockout against Team WBSC.

Mexico and Bahamas played simultaneously; in the same way the North American team took a first positive step by beating the Caribbean team 16 to 2.

In another field Cuba also defeated the South American team from Peru that is participating in the tournament by a score of 12 to 3.

And also, in the morning at the Baseball City complex, the Puerto Rican team gained their first victory in the qualifier tournament by beating Nicaragua 6 to 2.

After the morning games, the opening ceremony took place in which the twelve countries paraded in the main stadium to be present for the attendees.

In the afternoon two other games were played to close the first day of competition, the hosts from the Dominican Republic won by a wide score of 20 to 4 by knocking out Argentina.

In the last duel of the first day, the Brazilian and Panamanian teams faced each other, the Central Americans walked of their South American rivals by a score of 5 to 4.

On Sunday the tournament continues with six more games, four in the morning and two in the afternoon, twelve teams fighting to be among the five best and attend the World Cup.
