United States reaches the finals of U18 World Cup Qualifier and awaits for the rest

(Press Release; WBSC-AMERICAS).- The United States secured their place in the World Cup and in the final of the Pan American tournament by maintaining their undefeated record, the rest of the teams define a lot on the last day of the Super Round.

The United States outscored host Mexico 8-7 in a classic duel between these two nations, with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning they were able to walk of their rivals.

Casey Borba was the offensive protagonist with a homerun batting 1 for 3 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Meanwhile, Ty Southisene went 1-for-2 with a run scored and another RBI.

Meanwhile, Venezuela defeated Nicaragua 10-6, a duel that they also knew how to overcome with four runs in the fifth inning and another two in the sixth to preserve the victory.
