(Press Release; WBSC-AMÉRICAS BASEBALL).- The Venezuelan U15 team announced that Francisco “Kid” Rodríguez will be the team manager for the category's World Cup Qualifier to be held at the end of February in the Dominican Republic.
Francisco Rodríguez's name currently appears on the ballot for eligibility for the Hall of Fame after an outstanding career in the Major Leagues, but with Venezuela he has also left important moments.
In 1998 he was with the U16 team in the World Cup Qualifier and World Cup of the category played in Mexico and the United States respectively, but he has also been part of the team that has participated in the World Classic on four occasions.
This will be his first opportunity to defend his team as a manager, hoping to lead Venezuela to repeat the title it already achieved in the last World Cup Qualifier in his country.
