Venezuela makes history with the I National Women's Children's Championship in Caracas

(Press Release; WBSC-AMERICAS BASEBALL).- The I National Women's Children's Championship is historic for Venezuela, which seeks with this new tournament to concentrate a young seedbed for the national team.

Venezuela recently rose to position three in the women's baseball category, the highest position any team has been in in the history of sports in the South American country.

The FEVEBEISBOL Board understands that success must come hand in hand with growth so that triumphs continue to be achieved, therefore, the idea of holding this tournament that takes place in Caracas.

The children's category includes girls aged 10 to 14 years and eight States of Venezuela participated in this first tournament: Bolivar, Yaracuy, Lara, Carabobo, Aragua, La Guaira, Miranda and the hosts of the Capital District.

More than 100 girls participate in the event, in addition to the coaching staff from each of the eight States that make up the nucleus of the seedbed for the national team in the immediate future.

This tournament has been taking place since last Saturday with sixteen matches in the Opening Round (four games for each team), in addition to the semifinals and final that will take place this Wednesday.

Distrito Capital will play against Lara in one of the semifinals, while Aragua and Carabobo meet in the other key, to determine the finalists who will play for the gold medal and the champion trophy of this I National Women's Children's Championship.
