SALT LAKE CITY — With the IBAF World Cup in Edmonton, Alberta, just a couple of days away, the USA Women’s National Team finalized its 20-player roster on Wednesday night.

OTTAWA-Baseball Canada announced the twenty players that will represent Canada at the IBAF Women’s Baseball World Cup in Edmonton August 10th-19th.

Cuba has won the 26th edition of the “Haarlemse Honkbalweek”. They won the title at the international tournament with a 4-2 victory over Puerto Rico in the championship game on Sunday. Team USA (Collegiate) finished in third place after a 4-3 win over IBAF Baseball World Champion Netherlands in the Bronze Medal Game at Pim Mulier Stadium in Haarlem, Netherlands.

The International Baseball Federation (IBAF) announced that Team Cuba is coming to Chinese Taipei to take on the squad assembled by players of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) this coming November. This historical visit will mark Cuba’s first time to come to Chinese Taipei for games other than international tournaments, and this will also be the first time for CPBL to play Cuba’s national team.

The UCENS (The japanese-brasilian culture and sport association) has started the Caminho do Beisebol (Path to baseball).

OTTAWA-The Women’s National Team wrapped up the Triangle Series in Cuba by blanking Venezuela 2-0 earlier today. Canada had defeated Cuba 11-5 on Tuesday and 10-7 on Wednesday to finish the Triangle Series with a 5-1 record.
