MLB and all 30 Clubs to host Screenings of “42” for thousands of Teens accross US and Canada
Major League Baseball, in cooperation with all 30 MLB Clubs, will host private screenings of the film “42” for thousands of teenagers across the country and in Canada. Clubs will select students in grades 8-12 from their respective communities to fill local theaters for the screenings.

Tsunezaku Takeda, President of the Japanese Olympic Commitee, and Ryozo Kato, Commissioner of NPB, made both strong statements in favour of the reinstatement of baseball and softball in the Olympic Games. Takeda mentioned the importance the sports may have if the Games are played in Tokyo.

OTTAWA- Baseball Canada announced today the names of 30-players who will compete in the Junior National Team’s annual Spring Training Camp April 12-22 in Orlando, Florida.
MLB names Chris Davis, Clayton Kershaw Players of the Week
Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis has been named the American League Player of the Week for his historic performance during the period ending April 7th. This marks Chris’ second career weekly honor, having split the final award of the 2012 season with Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander on October 1st. Hall of Famer Eddie Murray was the last Oriole to win consecutive Player of the Week honors, accomplishing the feat on September 13th and September 20th in 1981.
