Tien-Mou/Taipei City. Venezuela has won the duel against rival USA on Sunday evening at Tien-Mou Stadium. The South Americans prevailed 3-2 in the clash, improving to 4-0 in the II 12U Baseball World Cup. Strong pitching and three early runs were enough to pick up the victory. USA’s long home run at the end wasn’t enough to change the outcome.

Tien-Mou/Taipei City. Chinese Taipei overcame a pair of early home runs to defeat Mexico 4-2 in the afternoon game at Tien-Mou Stadium on Sunday. All six runs were scored in the first inning, as the host of the II 12U Baseball World Cup answered two solo shots in the top of the first with four runs in the bottom half. An error on a muffed throw at first base turned out to be crucial.

Tien-Mou/Taipei City. Venezuela improved to 3-0 and into sole possession of first place in Group B one day before their matchup with rival USA at the 12U Baseball World Cup. On Saturday evening at Tien-Mou Stadium they defeated Korea 7-3. Four runs in the fourth and three in the fifth decided the outcome. Korea tried to rally in the sixth, but it was too little too late.

Tien-Mou/Taipei City. It was a close game with opponents playing at the same level, but Brazil prevailed 3-0 in the end over the Czech Republic in the Saturday morning game at Tien-Mou Stadium. Three runs in the third inning were enough for the South American, which improved to 2-1 in the II 12U Baseball World Cup. It was the third loss for the reigning European Champion.

Taipei City. The preliminary round at the II 12U Baseball World Cup in Taipei City is heating up. On day three of the tournament the two meetings of undefeated teams at Tien-Mou Stadium were in the spotlight.

Shing-Sheng/Taipei City. Panama has its first win at the II 12U Baseball World Cup. After losing 0-2 to the United States on Thursday and 0-2 to Korea on Friday, they rebounded with a 15-0 win over Russia on Saturday morning at Shing-Sheng Stadium. Russia had to settle for its second loss in as many days, facing two of the stronger teams in the tournament.

Youth Park/Taipei City. Venezuela celebrated its second win at the II 12U Baseball World Cup, defeating Russia 17-0 on Friday afternoon. For the Europeans it was their first game in tournament history. Venezuela scored five runs in the first, four in the second and eight in the third inning. Their only blemish on defense was a hit by pitch.

Taipei City. The second day of the II 12U Baseball World Cup saw Brazil erasing a deficit against Mexico, handing one of the favorites a surprise loss. In the other five games on Friday the usual suspects picked up the wins. Japan, USA, Korea, Venezuela and Chinese Taipei all improved to 2-0 in the tournament.

Youth Park/Taipei City. Team USA got its second win at the II 12U Baseball World Cup, defeating Pakistan 20-0 on Friday morning at Youth Park. 15 runs in the first and five in the second lifted the team of head coach Dave Webb to the win.

Tien-Mou/Taipei City. Korea won a tight ball game against Panama on Friday afternoon by a score of 2-0 at Tien-Mou Stadium. The Asian squad improves to 2-0 with the victory, while Panama drops to 0-2. Runs in the second and third were enough for Korea to prevail.
