18U BWC: Chinese Taipei prevails with Walk-Off Single in 9th

Seoul (Korea). After celebrating twice on the first two days, Canada was on the wrong end of a walk-off win on Sunday evening at Mokdong Stadium. Chinese Taipei rallied from a 0-5 deficit to win 6-5 on a walk-off RBI single by Chih Chieh Su with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Both teams are 2-1 in Group B, still with chances to reach the final round.

They dismantled Panama 8-0 thanks to a strong offensive performance and another great gem by their pitching staff. Seoul (Korea). Team USA rebounded from their 2-8 loss to Korea on Saturday with an 11-1 win over Colombia on Sunday at Mokdong Stadium. The American offense, which looked flat against the hosts, needed just seven innings, winning due to ten-run mercy rule. It is their second win in three games at the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship, as Colombia dropped to 1-2.

Seoul (Korea). Colombia scored eight runs in the first two innings to defeat the Netherlands 9-6 at Mokdong Stadium on Saturday afternoon. 18U BWC: Korea stuns United States at Jamsil Stadium

Seoul (Korea). Korea stunned Team USA 8-2 on Saturday afternoon at Jamsil Stadium to earn their second win at the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship. The host kept the opposing bats cold all game, after the Americans had scored 17 runs on Friday. They took the lead in the third and never looked back, blowing the contest open with four runs in the sixth.

Japan, Korea and Canada celebrate big Wins on Saturday

Seoul (Korea). Fans at the XXV 18U Baseball World Championship saw exciting games on the second day of first-round play on Saturday. In the morning Canada celebrated a second straight walk-off win at Mokdong, coming back against a strong Italian team, scoring the winning run in the ninth. Nearly at the same time Australia erased a three-run deficit in the bottom of the ninth, before falling down to Venezuela in the tenth.
